A/W16 Outerwear Trends
Its September already which means we have to say goodbye to our summer wardrobe for another year. As saddening that is for us to hear, we do get to embrace the new Autumn/Winter season. As the weather gets colder we all need to find our perfect outwear piece that will carry us through until the next season. So we have complied together the biggest outwear trends this season to give you a style upgrade.
The Bomber Jacket
One trend that has been prevalent all summer is the bomber jacket and just because its a new season doesn't mean we are saying bye to it just yet. This season the Bomber Jacket takes on a variety of textures, prints and colours. Mulberry took a more sophisticated approach while Coach kept it playful with badges and embroidery.
The Puffa Jacket
The big padded statement coat is back and was seen in a variety of collections from Stella McCartney to Balenciaga both opting for the oversized approach. You can definitely guarantee on this piece to provide you with all the warmth you will need once winter kicks in.
What would Autumn/Winter be without the addition of a good mac. This season the traditional mac has been renewed with some much needed experimentation. From bold coloured leathers seen at Celine, to patchworked brocade fabrics at Prada. The mac is far from boring this season.
Always a big influence in the fashion world, the military trend is not going anywhere. Military inspired outwear was seen throughout autumn/winter collections. Topshop Unique kept it simple with an oversized style and a faux fur collar while Temperly took on a more vintage approach with contrast stitching.
